Testimonials of The Sinclair Method (TSM) Success
John David Sinclair, PhD, Founder of The Sinclair Method for the treatment of alcohol addiction
“I was gratified my method of alcoholism treatment could play a part in Claudia's journey from addiction to successful recovery. This vivid and insightful book can help save others suffering from this disease."
Roy Eskapa, PhD, Author of The Cure for Alcoholism: The Medically Proven Way to Eliminate Alcohol Addiction
"Babylon Confidential is riveting – it is a great book filled with humor, warmth and compassion. I was by deeply impressed by Claudia's courageous life story and I was grateful that I could play a role in helping her. I know this book will save lives and help families effected by alcoholism."
Stephen M. Cox, MD - Licensed physician, Board certified psychiatrist, Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry University of Kentucky College of Medicine, National Anxiety Foundation, President.
"It is my definite clinical opinion, that after carefully researching traditional treatment and The Sinclair Method treatment for alcohol dependence, that the Sinclair Method (TSM) should be the treatment tried first. Traditional treatment should only be used in the minority of patients where The Sinclair Method failed, or, where it cannot be used due to some unusual medical circumstance, such as allergy to naltrexone. The Sinclair Method is very much cheaper and very much more effective than traditional treatment. My opinion is that, barring unusual clinical circumstances, that The Sinclair Method should be prescribed first, not last; and, to do otherwise might be considered malpractice. I use The Sinclair Method with all my private patients first, unless there is some reason not to, which is unusual. I find it to be effective in 75% of patients at a year out. I find that traditional rehab treatment works only in about 20% after the same year of treatment."
Michael Yasinski, MD, Yasinski Psychiatry
"As a board-certified psychiatrist I was traditionally trained to treat addiction but was frankly discouraged with the lack of successful treatment options. Two years ago I learned about the Sinclair method and immediately started to implement the method into my practice. I have seen dramatically successful results and it has been extremely encouraging to offer people a truly effective solution. I also integrate the Sinclair method with additional strategies to best fit the needs of each patient; whether the goal is to simply cut-down or to quit altogether. The Sinclair method has shifted the paradigm of addiction treatment and I only hope the awareness continues to grow in order to help as many people as possible."
"I have been doing TSM now for a week. And am having stellar results. I feel like I'm living on a new planet! I just wanted to express my thanks to all who are responsible for this website. It helped me find a verified TSM Dr and a prescription all within 3 days!
You guys rock!"
"I have been on Naltrexone for about 3 months now and my drinking is down about 65%! I feel great, I'm a lot more active, and I'm way more productive at work and at home.
I don't know if I'm going for extinction or not, but either way I'm quite happy at where I am. If I completely rid alcohol from my life, great. If I don't and stay on this track, great. This is the answer that I've been looking for, and it has not only saved my life, but it is dramatically improving my family's life.
One word of advice is to always wait the full amount of time before drinking. I tried to cut a corner once - drinking 15 minutes early, and that set me back a few weeks. It brought me back to how I used to feel when drinking had control over me. I never want to go back there again. I'm loving my renewed life!"
"I was always drinking alcohol on my own. At times I was drinking 2 bottles of wine a night but usually I was drinking about 1 bottle of wine a night. Although at times in my alcoholic career I had liver damage, I never hit rock bottom. My life never became unmanageable but my father was an alcoholic and so was my sister, so I knew that I probably was too.
I stumbled upon the book "The Cure for Alcoholism" when I was looking on Amazon and downloaded it. It's a very well written and informative book, so I thought that I'd give The Sinclair Method a go. I brought in Claudia's introduction to the book, which I had copied on my phone, and gave it to my doctor. My doctor agreed to give me a prescription for Naltrexone and I started on TSM.
Here is the graph of my progress:
As you can see I had almost halved my drinking after 8 months (I'm not a fast responder). It was only by going on to 75mg Naltrexone though that I was really able to stop my cravings and get down to my current level of 6 standard drinks each week. I drink about 3 times each week now but I'll only drink one or two glasses of wine each time. There's no doubt that The Sinclair Method works and it stopped me from becoming a full blown alcoholic."
One month in, I couldn't be happier! I'm reading Dr. Eskapa's book, I adore the introduction. Your honesty about your addiction, as well as your guidance to this medication, has lessened my shame about having this disease. My self esteem has skyrocketed, and I feel more positive in every aspect of my life. Thank you, bless you Claudia. I never would have discovered TSM if not for you!
"The past three years, I fought a losing battle with alcohol. I lost a job, my family, and most of my friends. In August, I was fortunate to read the Atlantic Monthly article, "The Irrationality of Alcoholics Anonymous." The article and the subsequent steps I took, have turned my life around.
I was in and out of AA for 2 years, constantly struggling with the message and with emotions of guilt, depression, and deep anguish over failing time and time again through the 12-steps. The manic nature of sponsors, deeply depressing meetings, and a lack of connection with God all caused discontent. Family and friends simply said I had no will power and failed because I did not fully invest in the process.
Upon reading the Atlantic Monthly article and discovering the Sinclair Method, I felt a sense of hope not realized for years. I went to my GP two days later, spent almost an hour with him trying to convince him I needed Naltrexone, and upon getting the script, took my first pill that night. Over the last month, I have decreased drinking from 50-60 drinks per week down to less than 10. Most nights I drink nothing, have no cravings, and simply have no relationship with alcohol. Coupling this with counseling, I am communicating with clarity, living a compassionate, healthy lifestyle, and bringing friends and family back into my life with great success. In short, this pill and the Sinclair Method, put me on a path to save my life."
"I went to my first alcohol treatment in 1986 at age 20. Over the next 27 years I was in and out of over 22 different inpatient treatment centers, outpatient programs, detox's, sober living houses, trying to get help with my alcoholism. In 2005-2006, I spent 12 months living in a homeless shelter with a long term 12-step treatment program. Over the past 27 years, I have attended over 2,000 AA meeting. I could get sober, but I couldn't stay sober. I would inevitably relapse and the destruction this caused in my life was immense.
In November of 2013 I started TSM, and it worked for me immediately. The physical compulsion to continue to drink left me on the first day. Gradually over the next few months the repetitive thoughts of drinking diminished and were finally extinguished.
I have now been on TSM over 16 months and it is hard to put into words the positive impact it has had on my life. I have custody of my sons, I am a good father. I have a wonderful relationship with my partner. I have great relationships with my parents and my siblings. I don't worry about getting drunk or going on a bender. I love my life today."
"Seven and a half months later I have a drink maybe once or twice a month - or I don’t. And typically when I do, it is because I am out to dinner with my wife and I enjoy the taste of wine with dinner, or at a gathering with friends. My desire for alcohol is pretty much zero. My desire to have that second drink after I do have a first one is absolutely zero."

"I had heard about Naltrexone from a friend. I did a bunch of research on the internet, and came across a Larry King Live interview about it. I just intuitively felt like it was a better option for me, based on what Claudia Christian was saying in the interview.
TSM has reduced my overall drinking by more than 90% in the first month. It feels nice to be able to wake up in the morning without a hangover! TSM is definitely putting me back in control of drinking, instead of drinking controlling me. I'm very happy I came across TSM!"
"I started The Sinclair Method close to a year ago now. I have a hard time describing in words what it has done for me. After having immense struggle with my alcohol addiction for about a decade, I can say for a FACT now that I no longer have a desire to keep drinking, let alone go on a 4 day binge. Having been freed from this awful place, the effect on me has been tremendous to say the least. I could go on and on about how everything is better (which it is) in terms of my relationships, fatherhood, work, health, etc…but I could put it more simply by saying that I love myself today. I don’t think I could ever say that before, even as far back as I can remember. I have no fear in my life anymore. I know Claudia doesn’t want to hear it or expect it, but I will be forever indebted to her and Dr Sinclair for the gift they have given me. I’ll never forget that very first night when she called me back, she gave me hope…real hope… that this would work for me. And it has, and I’m very happy to say it has also worked for some very close people to me that shared the same battles and saw how TSM has enabled me to become the man I have always wanted to be. Forever grateful."
"I haven't lost control of drinking in over 9 months. It is unfortunate more doctors aren't aware of The Sinclair Method and that there is a scientific mechanism to end the vicious cycle of alcoholism. I perceived right away the obsession to continue drinking was no longer more powerful than self-will. It is tragic that the turmoil my family and myself endured could have been prevented. I look forward to a day when those with a genetic predisposition to alcoholism will be identified sooner and pointed in the direction of people like Claudia and Dr. Eskapa."
"Since starting the Sinclair Method 10 months ago, my drinking has gone from 220 units/month for many years, to around 20 units/month consistently now. I also added Trigger/Urges Therapy, Hypnosis and Moderation techniques, which helped fix the psychologic component. Online forums certainly help too. No “White-Knuckling”, labeling myself as “alcoholic” or forced abstinence. Whether I choose to drink moderately or not drink at all is totally up to me, how great is that!
The Sinclair approach is the key to my success. THANK YOU for this fantastic discovery!!"
"Tonight is the end of week 9 for me. Gee, I am SO happy, its really so great to actually see it illustrated – makes it really hit home how wonderful TSM is! If things run true to how they have so far, I won’t make it through more than a couple of drinks in any day anyway. That, in itself, is pretty incredible and amazing to me! Its almost a certainty that I won’t be drunk, or embarrass myself, or have any hangovers, or pass out, or be sick, or do something that I regret... (That list is endless, isn’t it?)"
"Much to my astonishment I received a reply from Claudia that very evening and, upon reading the contents of her e-mail, I couldn’t be more thrilled. To get that level of encouragement, kindness and support was overwhelming. It was exactly what I needed to strengthen my resolve and... after a bit of a bumpy road, I commenced treatment in early April 2013. Since then I’ve never looked back. At the time of writing I’m only just ending my fourth week and the difference is astonishing. I’m drinking a quarter of what used to be my average weekly alcohol intake. This isn’t just surprising (surprising is too inadequate a word), this is truly a miracle. Thank you so much, Claudia. You’ve saved my life.”

“…I believe in my hours of desperation, my voice was heard and I was led to Claudia, whom I call my savior because it was she who pointed me to The Sinclair Method. It works. Perhaps Claudia doesn’t want to wear the mantle of being anyone’s savior but she truly saved me. Maybe it would make more sense if the Sinclair Method was more elaborate than it actually is. One pill. One hour before. But it’s dead simple. As for me, I carry a little pill holder on my key chain with a few doses of Naltrexone – and gratitude in my heart for Claudia. Both are with me always.”
"The Sinclair Method has been effective in helping me reduce the amount of alcohol I drink in just a few months. Coming from a family that had its share of problem drinkers, I have seen the problems it makes and how hard it can be to treat. I believe The Sinclair Method to be an effective tool to help those of us with drinking problems."
"At the time of the writing, I am starting my third month on TSM and I'm mostly alcohol free. There have even been times when I poured a second drink down the drain-something that would have previously been unthinkable. It astounds me that so little information is available about this amazing discovery. Roy Eskapa explains why this is the case and I find it deplorable that this cures exists while so many continue to suffer. While I believe I still have a way to go before I'm fully cured, I'm confident that day will come. I cannot express enough gratitude to Claudia for writing this book and saving my life and the lives of countless others."
"Like many alcoholics, I’ve tried almost everything to cure my addiction, but nothing ever loosened the strangle-hold grip alcohol had on me. I bounced from hospital rehabilitation, to mega-supplements, to psychotherapy, to Moderation Management, to Rational Recovery, and AA. I failed at them all miserably—the only things they succeeded at were dwindling my hopes and emptying my wallet. After the bargaining and denial wore thin and misery started to saturate every aspect of my day, I embarked, yet again, on a quest to getting sober. By the grace of Google, I stumbled upon The Sinclair Method which is presented beautifully by Roy Eskapa, Ph.D. in his book, The Cure for Alcoholism. I read it in one sitting and realized from that point on my life might never be the same again and for the first time in my addictive life, I didn't feel so alone."
